MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Membership in a Toastmasters Club can be a very rewarding experience both personally and professionally. Hamilton Steeltown Toastmasters club is always eager to welcome guests to our meetings, and those wishing to become members are encouraged to ask the Vice President of Membership for details.
Membership is open any time of the year and we welcome your participation. You can attend any of our regularly scheduled meetings as a guest until you see the value, benefit, and fun of being a full-time member. Once you have made that decision, you will need to fill in the standard Toastmasters International membership application form and pay your dues and one-time new membership fee.
As a new member, you may be overwhelmed by the tasks performed each week and may have many questions to ask before you feel you are ready to accept any roles. A new member package is presented to you to help you get acquainted with the various roles within Hamilton Steeltown Toastmasters. Also, a mentor will be assigned to help you through you first speeches and answer any questions you may have. Take on roles when you feel comfortable; there is no need to rush into any role. Remember, everyone was new at one time and members are always ready to help answer your questions. That's all it takes! Please join us as a guest for one of our meetings.
The annual membership fee is prorated for new members depending upon the month joined. In addition to the annual fee, new members also pay a one-time fee of $30.00 to cover the cost of the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader manuals, the Toastmaster International magazine and other supporting material received from Toastmaster International upon registration as a new member.
